James is the visionary behind Solitude Labs. His time spent at Invenergy and SpiderOak allowed him to see the growing need for Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) to meet energy demand and the threats that are posed by both foreign and domestic groups. At Solitude Labs, he spearheads the mission to secure America’s critical infrastructure with decentralized, zero-trust systems built for the future of distributed energy.

Nikita is the architect behind Solitude’s platform that enables utilities to safely integrate, monitor, and manage DERs. Drawing on his experience leading complex software projects and building embedded systems, he has built the foundation for a decentralized framework that protects the grid’s most dynamic assets.

Daniel left his PhD research in mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois to focus full time on Solitude Labs. After working at Northrop Grumman and researching industrial systems, he’s seen the digital transformation of control infrastructure up close. His insight has shaped Solitude’s approach to bridging hardware and cybersecurity as he leads development of the DER gateway that anchors our platform.
